When utilizing social networks like Myspace, YouTube, and Facebook for your next chiropractic marketing campaign, be very careful how you proceed. You only get one shot at building credibility within your niche or local community, so, ideally you want to make sure that you receive guidance from someone who’s successfully harnessed the power of these networks already. Going at it alone will cost you thousands of dollars in mistakes, missed new patient opportunities, and a great deal of time, energy and effort learning a new language. There are also unspoken rules you must know as well if you want to be in it for the long term.

Social media is an interesting phenomenon, in the fact that, it has spread like wildfire and permanently altered the landscape and dynamics of communication as we know it. A question that is asked frequently by chiropractors is, “Are social networks just for teenagers?” In short, the answer is a whopping no! Not sure where this misconception came from but many are still oblivious to the millions of middle and older aged folks plugged in daily. Did you know that employers are actually passing laws at work because employees are literally addicted to this style of communication? As a savvy business owner and entrepreneur, I knew the implications of this immediately so I took advantage and my life hasn’t been the same since.

The internet is a vast ocean that offers the means to a much easier life. Chiropractors need to update with the changing times, as outdated and expensive ways of marketing and crippling the profession. Online web 2.0 methods have shaken the traditional chiropractic marketing paradigms at their roots and there has never been an easier time to build a massive practice or establish multiple sources of income.

I can show you exactly how to use social media to get tons of new patients into your office each month. And here’s the real prize: you aren’t going to pay one dime on advertising to do it! Your current consultant or practice management “guru” likes to pretend like they know what I’m talking about, but in reality they have no idea about what I teach, and they wish they did.

You would think every business would be using these social networks for their growth, but in reality, almost no one is! But the ones that I taught have, and they are the ones surviving and thriving in these difficult times. On one of my profiles, I have in excess of 6,400 friends, 3,000 of which are members of my local community who I can communicate with via blogs and bulletins. I’m honored to be the absolute first and only consultant to use social media’s power to unleash unbelievable wealth and attention, and only my students are privy to this priceless information.

I’ve solidified my place in the community as the chiropractic health expert and get many referrals monthly on autopilot. You can’t buy publicity like what I’ve been able to achieve from a grassroots standpoint. I’ve even garnered a great reputation in our profession as the Myspace and YouTube doctor / chiropractor. Needless to say, I’m booked for speaking engagements throughout the country because of the massive thirst for this innovative style of marketing. When I developed this marketing technique and program a couple years ago, I had a vision that it would positively impact thousands of business owners and it’s done just that.

Take a moment to brainstorm how you want to be seen in your community, and what kind of a business you want to market. From these initial ideas, you’ll come up with ideas for the right feel for your video that you’ll upload online, and then watch as the business comes rolling in. Keep the video under 5 minutes, because people have short attention spans. My video training course will show you how to do this and so much more.

Heck, you don’t even need a video camera at first, although if you want to be a major player you’ll get one. When I first began, I was doing tutorials with only screen capture software and it was yielding some pretty amazing results. A few of my videos went viral, which just means they spread like a virus. This is, again, free advertising and desperate docs that use pay-per-click on the search engines would kill for these results. Instead, they waste there money spending in upwards of one dollar per click while my videos are getting hundreds of views per day at no charge and allowing me to dominate Google. It’s time to own your greatness fellow chiropractor!

Leverage social networks to easily get boatloads of new patients every month with easy Chiropractic Marketing strategies. Learn how to make in excess of $30,000 / month with this social elite Chiropractic Internet Marketing training series.

Twitter is a good tool to use, if you use it properly. If not used properly, it can become a waste of time and energy pretty quickly.

While this note is too short to discuss the finer points of Twitter, I feel it is something that you should start to use if your not already doing so.

Here are some key principles to consider when using twitter.

1) You need to have followers for anything to happen.
2) you need to follow others in order to form relationships
3) you will need to talk/chat/communicate with others regularly
4) do not try to follow every conversation, it will never happen
5) post what you can, when you can
6) build relations before you try to promote products or services
7) Get some helper programs for twittering

Only the last step is not self explanatory. But there are a ton of tools out there for twitter. These tools can help you get followers, help with tweeting, or help with managing your time.

Twitter happens in real time. This makes it nearly impossible to keep up to date on every single post that comes your way, or to post at all hours of the day.

But for instance, you could use this tool:
skipthemistakes.com/loves/tweetlater

It will allow you to schedule tweets for a later time period.

Also, There are tools to post tweet updates from Wordpress blogs, like this tool: skipthemistakes.com/loves/tweetmyblog

The key is to not get overwhelmed with all the little those tasks that can add up, and then post when you have time, something to say, or just feel like posting.

There are literally hundreds of tools popping up left and right for making your twitter life easier.

But the problem is, which ones really make a difference?

In truth, any tool that allows you to get more done in less time will have a benefit to you. But try to keep them to a minimum. The more tools you use, the more time you spend learning, switching from one tool to another, or the more complex doing the work becomes.

So here are twee (three) Twools that help me Twitter.

TweetLater – A wonderful tool that allows you to schedule your tweets.

There are two main reason to use this feature.

1: you cannot be online 24/7. so you can spread out your posts to be a little more flexible with your psotings.

2: not all of your followers are online at the same time you are. Hence, you can post at times you would not normally be online, and other followers will get your messages.

There are also a number of other

ReTweetit - This little tool allows you to earn credits towards re-tweeting your messages. If you want a message re-tweeted, you use credits and others will re-tweet your message. This is a good way to get your message out when you do not hae a ton of followers.

MyTweetFollowers - This is a tool that simply put can get you a ton of followers. One basic of twitter is that you really should follow people in order to get more followers.

While this may not apply to all people, most of us just do not have such a following before coming to twitter that we automatically jump up to 10,000 followers overnight.

But this tool can help you get several hundred per day. 200 or 300 new followers per day can make a considerable difference to your business potential as well as just branding yourself.

Follow me on Twitter

Perhaps you remember Sylvester the cat always trying to eat poor little Tweety.

“I tawt I taw a putty tat” as the saying goes. Tweety bird was, and still is IMO, an iconic cartoon figure. Of which there are not too many birds that fall into this category, Tweety, Foghorn Leghorn, Chicken Little to name only a few. (Feel free to post your favorite cartoon icon)

It is almost a shame that the people who created Twitter could not actually use the “tweety bird” character from Sylvester and Tweety show as the icon. I think it would have been the coolest of they could have.

But that aside, Twitter, itself has become an iconic figure in its own right.

If your not using twitter regularly, then you are missing out on the “whole twitter experience”.

Twitter is a micro-blog, where you type 140 characters at a time. It is socializing at its best and can be spamming at its worst. But the upside outweighs the bad.

Think of Twitter as a group of friends. You talk to your friends from time to time, see whats going on, whats “happening”.

But you do not always talk to all of your friends at once. How many friends do you have? 10, 20, 100, 1000? Well with Twitter you can have thousands. But just like your normal friends, you may only talk to a few each day.

You simply cannot keep up with all conversations at all times. It would require you to read a post just about every second of every day.

But you can communicate with people during the course of the day and develope friendships little by little. Just like making new friends at school or work, it does not happen instantly overnight.

Take the time to let people get to know you.

When it comes to social networking, the entire principle foundation is that you must socialize. You have to talk, post, talk, post, etc, you get the idea. It is called SOCIALIZING. See how that works.

But the truth is, if you want to get anywhere in internet marketing, you have to socialize with fellow marketers and potential customers. How else are they going to learn about you, you business, and what it is you stand for. This will allow them to determine if they want to associate with you.

Just don’t be the “uncle everyone hates at the party”.

You know what I mean. If your there to create problems, be rude, obnoxious, etc then do not be surprised when nobody follows you.
