I am adding a new category to the Real Internet Success Blog and it will have some criteria before you read it.

The criteria first is that you should not read it at all, UNLESS you are willing to take a long, hard, and deep look into your own Internet Marketing Soul.

The category is called “Motivation” And it is not for those of weak hearts. This category will contain a no-holds-barred attitude adjustment feel.

By this I mean that I will not pull any punches whatsoever. The cold hard facts of marketing reality. I will tell it like I see it. There will no doubt be topics that will make some people think twice, but as I said it is not for the weak.

Why I am taking this approach. Simple. I am sick and tired of not hearing the truth. I have been researching, learning and trying to work at Internet Marketing for a few years now. And all too often I learn something that only presents more questions. This often has led me to become discouraged, de-motivated, and keeps me from pushing myself further.

It was not until I took that cold hard look at myself and my own life that I realized all of this. so if it can help you to become motivated, to become successful, and to earn a living online then that is what I hope to accomplish.

Sorry for my absence over the last year or so from posting to this blog.

I had made a really big long-term mistake that I will be correcting in the near future. Leave it to say that I let personal life overtake and get in the way of following my dreams.

In the past I was single, had one job, and little to no outside endeavors. To which I could concentrate my efforts on building my online business.

Unfortunately, over the last two years my jobs changed, my personal life involvements became more time-restrictive, and several family emergencies have caused me to be quite distracted.

Now it is 2009 and I have made a clear and definite decision to get back into the thick of things with my internet businesses. To this end I will be pushing forward on several key aspects and will be covering them here in detail as I go.

During this journey, I hope to be able to share with you all the things that are done within the Internet Marketing arenas. I know I did not understand everything when I first started and I continue to learn on a daily basis.

I will share with you what has worked for me, what has not worked for me, what pitfalls and road blocks I have had, and how to help avoid them. So here is to helping you learn from my mistakes and hoping you will join me for the ride.

Derek

I have use for it for a project I am working with, and it looks very interesting and quite useful. Unfortunately I get so wrapped up in programming that I often forget all the otehr stuff I have to do, like eat, sleep, and post.

I will get back on track this weekend with quite a bit to post for those who are interested.

John C. Maxwell (born 1947) is an American pastor, author, and “leadership expert.” He is the founder of Injoy, a “people development company.” He graduated from Azusa Pacific University.

Maxwell has written over forty books (mostly on leadership); including “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership” (with Zig Ziglar) and “The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader: Becoming the Person Others Will Want to Follow”, among others. His books have sold over seven million copies, with several on the New York Times Best Seller’s List and translations in over fifty languages.

Over the last few years I have read three of his books. The first of which is titled: “THE 21 MOST POWERFUL MINUTES in a LEADER’S DAY” was quite an eye opener. As he is a pastor, you can guess where much of his leadership inspiration comes from, the bible of course. This is a wonderful fact as all too many people do not read much of the good book anymore.

Aside from the religious connotations, the books are quite worth the price of reading. His books are both well written and quite enlightening to anyone who is interested in becoming a leader.

Of course you may not think of yourself as a leader. But that is ok. If you plan to run your own company, you will become one. If you like to do things in your community, you will become one. Doing anything in which you lead by example, in life, work, play or otherwise, then you w ill become one.

The other two books I have read from his collection are “Developing the Leader Within You” and “Today Matters”.

Of these two books I found that “Today Matters“ is quite profound in what it expresses. Quite literally, that today is the “only” day that truly matters. I like this book because of these three very valid key points.

· Yesterday is gone, over, done with, so do not dwell on it.

· Today is the only day that matters. You must live today for today’s sake. Do not dwell on yesterday, and do not overly worry about tomorrow.

· Tomorrow is not here yet. So live by a good set of guidelines today and tomorrow will work out for itself

It is a hard concept to swallow, but in fact is all too true. Everyone is so worried about yesterday and tomorrow that they forget about today. What you are doing today affects what you do tomorrow.

If you learn how to have the right attitudes, priorities, health, faith, finances and more in the here and now- TODAY!, then you will be better off tomorrow and in the future because you will have a more stable platform from which to grow.

I am presently reading his book “Talent Is Never Enough“. In this book he points out that simply being a talented individual is not enough to get by. It kind of reminds me about high school. There were always a few people who breezed through with ease. But where are they now? You have to do things to maximize your talent’s potential.

I will let you know how the book goes in more detail when I am finished. Until then, consider getting a copy and reading it yourself.

It will never hurt you to improve upon yourself.

To your continued success,

I apologize for the recent issues with the themes and presentation of this site lately. We have been adding several plugins for Wordpress, and a handful were having problems acting properly.

The major cause of trouble was the WP-PostRating usage and the theme we are using. This plugin had an issue where it would cause a large blank space in the first post.

This was found to be a combination of two factors. One, our theme was calling a PHP function for the sidebar in the code before the plugin was activated, and two, the CSS being used for the theme was causing the alignment to shift improperly.

This has been corrected and the plugin is working properly. Please feel free to rate the posts as you see fit. If you have any questions, please drop me a line.

Have you ever played a video game? Ever bought a lottery ticket? Have you ever bought something only to never use it? Spent all day in front of the TV or lounging in bed? If you are like most people then there is a real high chance that you have done all of the above.

The next question is the hard one: Have you ever wished that you had a better life?

You know what I mean, Have you ever thought to yourself that you got dealt a bad hand in life? Perhaps you felt you have gotten the shaft, a bad rap or that you are simply unlucky.

Now comes the hardest part. What are you going to do about it?

If you play the lottery you will know that you have one chance in millions of winning big. When you play a game you can start over when you lose. But life is not a game, and should not be a gamble.

If you feel that you have gotten the bad rap, then you had better take another look in the mirror. Taking the road of self pity and thinking nothing goes your way does not change your situation one bit.

Why? Because if you want change in your life, then you have to make the change in yourself first, No one else is going to do it for you.

The truth is no one but you can make the decisions concerning your life. You must make your own choices. You choose if you want to get a better job, start your own business, or if you want to sit in front of the television all day. While some choices are much harder then others, some also have a greater reward.

Sitting in front of the TV will keep you occupied and entertained, but will it gain you any additional income? Will it get you the house of your dreams? Not likely. You must get off your backside and make a decision to change your life for the better.

To your future success.
