I do not know about you, but anytime I can find a free tool that helps me work my business, then I am at least open to taking it for a test run. Some tools are simply no good, but then every once in a while you come across some that are worth their weight in gold.

Well, this is one of them. A free little headline analysis tool.

If your not sure what headline analysis is, it is the process of analyzing the effectiveness of your headlines.

Well, this is the name of the game, isn’t it? We all want our headlines to be effective. And what better way then to have a tool that helps you to test that. This tool is located here:

http://www.aminstitute.com/cgi-bin/headline.cgi

It will take your headline and rate it on a scale of 0-100%. It will also tell you if you have a headline that appeals to a certain type of sector. They use Intellectual, Empathetic, and Spiritual. Each of these is geared towards different market and emotional response factors.

After about 15 minutes I was able to generate headlines that were consistantly above to 50% mark. Obviously it is a balancing act, in that you will want headlines that make sense, and still have a high rating for your market.

I will be using this tool a lot more in the future and will track my changes to see what kind of effect I can gain through it.
