What does Success mean to you? Part 8

Let’s take a moment to review what we have learned.

Lesson 1:
Here we learned that success is not the same to all people.  It can include money, fame, or more time to spend with loved ones. Success has many different levels and that you will need to work on it in order to achieve it.

Lesson 2:
In lesson two we took a brief look at finding an area that you wish to be successful in. Perhaps you just want to be the best fly fisherman in the county. Then by all means do just that. Take time to really decide what level of success you would be happy with, and in what field you want it to be in. After all, why be successful if you are not going to be happy with that success.

Lesson 3:
Thinking Big. This was the topic for lesson 3. Well, the truth is that we must aim as high as we can. This way, even if we only make it part of the way, it is still much better then not making it anywhere. Let’s use a number shall we: If you are aiming for $1,000,000 (1 Million) dollars, and you only make it half way, then you are still at $500,000 (5 Hundred Thousand). Not a bad place to be. Never stop trying to achieve higher and higher goals.

Lesson 4:
In lesson 4 we discovered that you do not need to start out with a ton of money. Sure it might help, but it is not required. There are plenty of low cost ideas that you can use to get started. Heck, I started out selling comic books that I already had as a child. I moved on to internet sales, then to programming, consulting, and marketing. All of these can be started with little or no money.

Lesson 5:
Here we discussed what a stream of income is, why you need to have more then one and that it will require some work. Let’s face facts; no good success is going to come your way for free. You have to spend time, energy, or money in one manner or another.

Lesson 6:
Knowing what streams of incomes are, we discussed some of the more common markets that can be readily used to make additional income streams. No one wants to have to work 2 jobs, let alone 3 or more. So you have to be able to create streams of income that continue to grow and work for you, without having to do tons of work every day.

Lesson 7:
If you’re going to start a business, then run it like a business. Take this part seriously as it can mean the difference between making money, owing the IRS millions, or being sued because of a coffee spill. While no business is perfect, they have pros and cons, and you should take the time to learn which is best for your situation. The costs are not overly high, and in most cases can be a tax deduction. Heck, some people, like the SBA (Small Business Administration) may even offer to help you get money for your new business.

Lesson 8:
Today we recapped some of the basic principles that will come in handy as you try to become an Internet Success. While there is more to it then I have outlined in these last 8 posts, the main thing is to get a grasp on the fact that you will need to learn new material. You will have to do work. It will not be an overnight, super-easy success. But, with time, dedication, and persistence, you will make your way to the winner’s circle of life.

To your future success.
